Reyes at batting practice. Daily News

Jerry Manuel just announced that Jose Reyes will be in the lineup and batting leadoff tomorrow.
Manuel also said it will not take long for Reyes to return to being the impact player he can be and the catalyst the Mets need right now.

Jose Reyes is back in New York and will be working out with his teammates when they take the field for practice later today. (I’m doing a Reyes homerun dance!)
“It’s a big lift both on the field and in the clubhouse,” David Wright told reporters, following last night’s loss. “It’s going to be good to see him tomorrow.”
On Saturday, Reyes will officially be activated from the disabled list and take his rightful place at the top of the order. The leadoff spot hasn’t been the same since he left, in fact it’s been putrid. However, all the incessant debates on who should bat leadoff will come to a merciful end this weekend.
There is but one leadoff hitter for this team, and his name is Jose Reyes AKA Joey Kings.
Say farewell to Ruben Tejada who will be immediately shuttled back to Buffalo for more seasoning. (I wish he could take Mike Jacobs with him and send Chris Carter back with a years supply of maple bats.)
Welcome back Jose!
