New York Mets GM Sandy Alderson addressed the media on Friday afternoon before the start of the teams home series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and he gave updates on two injured pitchers.

Matt Harvey threw off the slope of a mound on Wednesday and will throw his first bullpen session on Sunday. Harvey has been on the disabled list since June 16, with a stress injury to his right scapula.

Sandy also said that Noah Syndergaard is a couple of weeks behind Harvey in the rehab process. He has been out since May 1 with a partially torn lat.

The Mets are hoping to have Jeurys Familia back by the third week of August according to Alderson. Familia recently threw his first bullpen since having surgery to remove a blood clot in his right armpit.
