James McCann stays in A.L. Central with White Sox

According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports, the White Sox and former Tigers catcher James McCann have agreed on a contract for the upcoming season.

McCann struggled mightily in the 2018 season, posting a WAR in the negatives, but is a good bounce back candidate for the 2019 season.

Cardinals, Cubs Looking At Descalso

According to Bob Nightengale, the Cubs and Cardinals are both looking into super utility infielder Daniel Descalso, but their is hesitation on the Cubs side as to if they can afford him.

Descalso, 32, started his career in St. Louis and has journeyed his way to Arizona, where he spent the last two seasons. Descalso played a hoast of positions in 2018, including first, second, and third base on the infield, and left field.

The Cubs have been known to be financially restricted entering this off-season, but having questions as to whether or not you can afford a cheap super utility man is not a great look for a team that won the World Series just three years ago.
