With friends and family in attendance, Mets outfielder Michael Conforto put on an offensive showing, leading New York to a 7-5 victory over the Mariners in his native Seattle.

The 24-year-old clubbed his 20th homer of the year in the third inning to give the Mets a then 3-0 lead, but it was his blast in the eighth inning that was the turning point of the game.

Conforto greeted the man known as “Scrabble,” Marc Rzepczynski, by parking a laser into the seats in the right field corner to knot the game up at five.

His second long ball of the game sparked a three-run inning and gave the Mets the boost they needed to take the opening game of its series in Seattle.

“It’s a little surreal,” Conforto said. “Last time I was here on the field, I was 16 years old and taking batting practice and wasn’t getting anywhere close to hitting balls out of this park. Now it feels a little smaller. Definitely was surreal.”

Asdrubal Cabrera and Jay Bruce singled to follow suit of Conforto, but the crucial play of the rally was Wilmer Flores beating out a fielder’s choice at first.

This enabled Neil Walker to drive in Cabrera from third and Curtis Granderson to bring home an insurance run on a liner that deflected off Danny Valencia’s glove at first base.

The Mets offense and bullpen bailed Rafael Montero out who started out strong, but unraveled in the fifth inning, a frame in which the Mets were leading 4-1 and ended behind 5-4.

Hansel Robles, Jerry Blevins, Paul Sewald and Addison Reed each chipped in scoreless outings in relief of Montero to keep New York in the game and come away with a late win.

Conforto, the 2017 Mets All-Star went 2-for-5 for New York on Friday and became just the second Met under 24-years-old or younger to reach the 20 home run plateau. The other was David Wright back in 2006.

It was also the fourth multi-home run game for Conforto on the season. Prior to this year, his only game with two homers came back in the 2015 World Series.

“It’s a little more special here. It’s a dream come true for me to be able to play out here, let alone hit two home runs and get a comeback win,” Conforto said. “It was a really fun game just all around. Just a great experience for me.”

On the season, Conforto is now hitting .291/.398/.586 and owns a .984 OPS with 21 homers and 54 RBI.
