New York Mets right-hander Matt Harvey made his second rehab start last night for the Brooklyn Cyclones and threw three scoreless innings.

In those three innings he allowed only one hit, walked nobody and struck out three. He was sitting in the 90-93 MPH range with his fastball and topped out at 94 MPH. He threw 36 pitches with 26 of them being strikes.

This was the second rehab start for Harvey, who threw one inning on Saturday for the Cyclones.

Harvey had this to say after the outing:

Jeurys Familia made his first rehab appearance last night for the St. Lucie Mets and it was the first time he had thrown in a game since May 10.

Familia threw a scoreless sixth inning on nine pitches with five of them for strikes. He walked a batter, induced a double play and recorded a strikeout. The New York Mets closer is coming back from surgery to fix a blood clot in his right armpit.
