Hello, My Friends, and Happy New Year to all of you…

I bid farewell to 2020 with no regrets, and I usher in the new year with plenty of hope, optimism, and the feeling that 2021 is going to be very exciting and special.

We deserve a great year after all that we’ve been through. The last 12 months have been harrowing,  depressing and chaotic, to say the least.

The virus, the confusion, the fighting and the dying — all of it — ravaged our lives. I believe many of us are coming away with some emotional scars that we won’t soon forget.

But here we are… We made it!

We embrace the new year with open hearts and a fervent anticipation for the good times that lie ahead.

I cannot believe we are wrapping up our 16th year at MMO. Since day one, our goal has always been to create a Mets Fan Site that truly represented all of us; guys and gals, young and old, optimists and pessimists.

We wanted a site where writers would be proud of their work and always strived to be objective and professional and fun!

Thanks to an incredibly talented team of writers, and our passionate and remarkable readers, we have succeeded in creating something truly remarkable and special.

You are what makes Metsmerized Online so unique and compelling. Thank you so much.

To my editorial staff… I always appreciate your hard work and your ideas. Your commitment to excellence, your passion and your professionalism make me proud to be counted among you.

And of course to my star-crossed lovers, the New York Mets…

Things are looking up!

I’m incredibly grateful that we have a new owner in Steven Cohen who is also a true diehard fan with a burning desire to see our team win another championship. Oh, and he’s loaded!

So far, I love all the offseason moves, but I’ll feel a lot better as soon as I see a George Springer press conference at Citi Field.

Our love for the Mets binds us together into one huge happy and extended family.

You are truly the greatest baseball fans in the world and don’t you ever forget it.

God Bless You All and Have A Happy and Healthy New Year.
