While the Arizona Fall League has served as a stepping stone for players to make the jump to the big leagues, since 2006, the Fall Star Game has showcased the best talents across minor league baseball.

This year is no different, with 10 of the top 100 prospects in the game on display this Saturday, Nov. 4. Infielder Luis Guillorme and catcher Tomas Nido will be representing the Mets in the game. The full rosters were announced Monday.

Guillorme, 23, hit .283/.376/.331 with one homer and 43 RBI in 558 plate appearances for Double-A Binghamton in 2017. However, his real value lies in the field. In 1024.2 innings at second base in two minor league seasons, he owns a .980 fielding percentage.

He has gone 10-for-26 (.385 average) in six games for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the AFL thus far.

Nido, 23, got a cup of coffee with the Mets in September going 3-for-10 in five games including a double. At Double-A Binghamton in 2017, he hit .232/.287/.354. The catcher is perhaps best known for his presence behind the dish and his affinity to keep the pitching game in tact.

He has gone 7-for-33 (.212 average) in eight games for Scottsdale so far this fall.

Being left off the Fall Star Game roster are Mets prospects Kevin Kaczmarski and David Thompson, who have both performed exceptionally well in the AFL this year.

The former has gone 16-for-40 with one homer and six RBI in 10 games thus far, while the latter is 12-for-33 (.364 average) with one homer and four RBI in eight games.
