Greg Holland is the premier reliever left on the market, but on the road back from Tommy John surgery. He is seeking a two-year deal with an opt-out after the first year, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports reports.

Holland, 31, underwent Tommy John Surgery in September of 2015 and he missed the Royals’ World Series championship and entire 2016 season.

Prior to surgery, Holland was an elite relief pitcher with his best years coming in 2013 and 2014.

In those years, Holland saved 47 and 46 games with a 1.21 and 1.44 ERA while pitching to a 13.8 and 13.0 K/9, respectively. Holland saw regression in 2015, but that could be attributed to elbow problems.

The two-time all-star could make sense for the Mets on the deal he is looking for. Holland will be looking to reestablish his value, but with Jeurys Familia set to miss an extended amount of time and Holland having closing experience, the righty could be a fit in the back end of the bullpen to complement Addison Reed finishing off games.
