We talked about the burgeoning stardom of Francisco Álvarez, the ceilings and floors of other top Mets prospects, Keith’s evaluation strategy, who from the farm may impact the MLB Mets in 2022 and high-upside candidates in the Mets prospect pool, like Mike Vasil and Alex Ramirez.
Within the discussion, Law credited the Mets with having a “top five” draft class over the last 10 years, noting the team has done a really good job with strategy and finding hidden talent. The only problem? They’ve traded a lot of that talent away over the last five years, which makes the current farm top-heavy.
