Boston Red Sox assistant GM Raquel Ferreira and Baltimore Orioles assistant GM Sig Mejdal are not interested on interviewing for a position with the Mets.

Alex Spier of the Boston Globe was first to report Ferreira not interviewing for a Mets front office position. On Tuesday, MMO’s Michael Mayer reported that the Mets were unlikely to hire her.

She has been with the Red Sox for 23 years and currently reports to Chaim Bloom.

Mejdal is no longer in the mix for a Mets front office position as Andy Martino reports. Mejdal has been with the Orioles since 2018, prior to that he worked for the Astros.

The Mets received permission to interview each candidate. It brings the tally to 12 candidates New York has missed on this last month.

Tim Healey reported earlier Thursday the Mets do not expect to hire a new head of baseball operations this weekend. Leaving Sandy Alderson as the head of the Mets heading into GM meetings on Monday.
