Dwight Gooden was arrested Tuesday morning in NJ and charged with driving under the influence of drugs following an auto accident.
Gooden has previously stated he’d been sober the past 3 and a half years.
The accident occurred at morning rush hour and according to reports Doc’s son was in the car with him at the time.
It’s saddens all Mets and Baseball fans alike and we all wish Doc well and hopefully he’ll someday be able to tackle his demons. He was truly Amazin to say the least before his problems began.
