According to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports, the Los Angeles Dodgers want to add a top arm to their bullpen and are interested Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton.

Multiple teams have checked with the Orioles to see if Britton is available with Baltimore currently only four games out of a wild card spot in the American League.

Britton, 29, has pitched in only 12 innings this season because of a forearm strain that kept him on the disabled list for two months. Britton will be arbitration eligible next season and a free agent in 2019.

Heyman also notes that the Dodgers would like to add a left-handed reliever in addition to back-end guy like Britton. He mentions Brad Hand and Justin Wilson as lefties they’ve shown interest in.

Presumably, the Dodgers would have interest in Addison Reed and/or Jerry Blevins as both would fit the needs they’re looking for. The Dodgers already feature possibly the best closer in baseball in Kenley Jansen at the end of their bullpen.
