With the Dodgers poised to make a deep playoff run, the team is looking to shore up their bullpen and create a bridge to Kenley Jansen.

According to Buster Olney of ESPN on Twitter, the Dodgers are exploring a potential deal for Mets reliever Addison Reed.

Reed, 28, has widely been considered the most probable Met to be dealt at this year’s trade deadline and rightfully so.

The right-hander has been splendid since coming over to New York in Aug. 2015.

On the season, Reed is 1-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 16 saves in 45 appearances.

The Dodgers have a lot of appealing prospects the Mets could ask for in exchange for Reed, such as outfielder Yusniel Diaz, who MLB Pipeline ranked as the No. 90 prospect in the game.

Sitting at 66-30, the Dodgers are statistically the best team in baseball and a one-two punch of Reed and Jansen to close out games would be lethal.
