The Astros took a 2-0 ALDS lead over the White Sox Friday night with a 9-4 win. The Red Sox stormed back to tie their series against the Rays at one game apiece with a commanding 14-6 win.
Meanwhile, the Brewers and Giants opened the NLDS with a 2-1 and 4-0 victory, respectively.
The AL gets the day off today as the NL teams dive into Game 2 of the NLDS.

Cy Young candidate out-dueled 37-year-old Charlie Morton in Game 1 on Friday. The game was scoreless until Rowdy Tellez‘s two-run homer in the seventh for Milwaukee. The Braves got one back with a Joc Pederson solo homer in the eighth, but couldn’t complete the comeback as the Brewers take a 1-0 NLDS lead.
LOS ANGELES DODGERS (0-1) vs. SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (1-0)
LHP Julio Urias (20-3, 2.96 ERA) vs. RHP Kevin Gausman (14-6, 2.81 ERA)
Game #2 9:07 p.m. ET – Oracle Park – TBS
Friday’s Dodgers-Giants matchup was another pitching duel, with Logan Webb outdoing Walker Buehler. Webb struck out 10 in 7 2/3 scoreless innings as the Dodgers were shut out. Buehler gave up a two-run homer to Buster Posey in the first inning, then settled down until the seventh when Kris Bryant took him deep. The Giants ultimately came away with a 4-0 victory.
