Devin Williams has hit the injured list.
The Mets announced Monday that they have placed Williams on the 15-day IL with a right shoulder strain. It is retroactive to Aug. 8.
In a corresponding move, the Mets recalled right-handed pitcher Jonathan Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse.

Williams most recently pitched on Aug. 7. He struggled, allowing two runs on three hits in an inning of work. An outfield assist helped get him through the frame.
His fastball velocity was right around the 93.9 mph he’s been averaging this season, however.
The 31-year-old Williams in the midst of an up-and-down first season with the Mets. Though he was good in May and June, he had a rough April and a so-so July. He’s allowed three runs through two innings so far in August.
Overall, Williams has posted a 4.66 ERA in 42 games this year after a 4.79 in 67 appearances last season for the Yankees. Williams has posted 0.7 fWAR, 11.87 SO/9 and 4.89 BB/9, all of which would be career worsts for a full season. Williams has 16 saves in 19 opportunities.
Pintaro, 28, has thrown 14 1/3 innings for New York with a 4.40 ERA. He’s also pitched 40 1/3 innings with a 4.02 ERA for Syracuse.
The Mets’ bullpen has collectively posted a 3.74 ERA, the sixth-best mark in MLB.
Williams’ contract runs through 2028 with $51 million total guaranteed.
