Some more encouraging news in the world of Mets injuries — Matt den Dekker is in the starting line-up for the St. Lucie Mets tonight as he looks to work his way back into the Mets outfield picture.

He is batting lead-off and playing center field. The young outfielder was cleared for game action back on June 6th so it’s nice to see him getting back into the groove. He fractured his right wrist in Spring Training this year and has not seen any game action in the 2013 season.

Thanks to Daniel Wexler for the hat tip.
