New York grabbed four more runs in the fourth by stringing together a trio of singles by Mark Canha, Jeff McNeil, and Davis and James McCann knocked a three-run home run. The ball club truly broke the game open in the fifth, turning it into a 10-0 blowout. Eduardo Escobar reached on a fielding error, Mark Canha singled, and Jeff McNeil walked to load the bases for J.D. Davis, who subsequently knocked his first career grand slam.
