The Mets will introduce Curtis Granderson. at a press conference at the Winter Meetings on Tuesday at 12:30 PM.
Granderson will wear uniform No. 3 according to a team announcement.

Granderson, 32, is a three-time All-Star and ranks fifth in the majors with a home run every 15.3 at-bats over the last three seasons. He has scored 100 or more runs four times in his career and hit 20 or more home runs in a season six times.
“We are excited to add Curtis’ power to the middle of the lineup,” said Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson. “He is a dynamic offensive player who has had success in New York.”
Granderson will earn earn annual salaries of $13 million in 2014, $16 million in 2015 and 2016, and $15 million in 2017, and additionally he did not receive a no-trade clause.
The lefthanded hitter batted .229 (49-214) with seven home runs in 2013 with the Yankees after a fractured right forearm and fractured left pinkie limited him to 61 games. Granderson hit 84 home runs, scored 238 runs and collected 225 RBI from 2011-2012 with the Yankees. From 2008-2012 he compiled 312 extra-base hits to rank fourth in the American League during that span.
The 6-1, 195-pounder has batted .261 (1,157-4,438) with 780 runs scored, 199 doubles, 80 triples, 217 home runs, 606 RBI and 122 stolen bases since making his major league debut in 2004 with the Detroit Tigers. Granderson hit 40 or more home runs in consecutive seasons (41 in 2011 and 43 in 2012). He finished fourth in the American League MVP voting in 2011 after leading the AL in runs (136) and RBI (119).
Granderson hit 108 home runs from 2010-2012, including 47 on the road, ranking sixth in the majors and 61 at home, ranking second in the majors. He has a .274 (876-3,192) career batting average vs. righthanders with a .357 on-base percentage and a .519 slugging percentage.
