Adam Cromie and Steve Cohen met face-to-face Tuesday night, according to the New York Post.

If the meeting went well the expectation is Cromie would be made an offer to be the next Mets general manager.

The Post says Cromie had already met with Cohen via teleconference and Mets president Sandy Alderson. The face-to-face meeting was the next step in the hiring process.

Cromie has been out of baseball since 2017. He’s worked on mergers and acquisitions at the Jones Day law firm since and has helped teams in arbitration hearings according to his company page. Prior to that, Cromie spent a decade with the Washington Nationals rising up to assistant GM.
