Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), after losing a bet to Steve Israel (D-NY) on the NLDS that pitted the Los Angeles Dodgers against the New York Mets, paid up Friday right on the House floor in Congress.
Congressman Schiff had to sing his rendition of “Meet the Mets!” in front of the full house and it was pretty hilarious to say the least.
At the end of his song Schiff begged, “Please, Mr. Speaker, let my time be expired!”
It’s been a tough 24 hours for Schiff, who is a ranking member of the Select Congressional Committee on Benghazi, that had themselves a long 18-hour day on Thursday.
How do you go from that to singing Meet the Mets the next morning. 🙂
