Congratulations to the Brooklyn Cyclones!!!

The New York Mets may not be going beyond the regular season in 2012, but their Single-A affiliate Brooklyn Cyclones sure are! The ‘Clones fell today to the Lowell Spinners, but with the magic number at one, a Jamestown routing of the Batavia Muckdogs paved the way for a New York-Penn League playoff berth.

The Cyclones will take on the Hudson Valley Renegades in Game One of a best-of-three playoff series beginning on Friday, September 7th. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The Cyclones were 7-3 against the Renegades during the regular season. Hansel Robles – who led the NYPL and established a franchise record with a 1.11 ERA during the 2012 campaign – will get the start. The righthander did not allow an earned run over 33.0 innings during the month of August and went 4-0 in five starts.

The Cyclones will send Hansel Robles, who leads the NYPL and set a ‘Clones single-season record with a microscopic 1.11 ERA, to the hill for Game One.

Congrats to our Brooklyn Cyclones!!!
