The Mets released a statement regarding the fire today, as detailed by Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com.
“The fire in the Jackie Robinson Rotunda this afternoon was in a contained area and extinguished by the fire suppression system prior to the arrival of the fire department. There was minimal damage which was non-structural … no one was hurt.”

Earlier this afternoon, there was a blast at Citi Field. Black smoke was billowing out of the ballpark with a fire visible.
Video of the fire was obtained by Twitter user and Mets fan Daniel Mosher, who provided MMO with permission to share the video he took of the incident:

According to the FDNY, the fire was from a display case, and it is under control. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries.
