D.J. Carrasco sounded confident tonight and said he’s ready for Friday’s start at Turner Field against the Braves. Carrasco doesn’t believe endurance will be an issue.
“I’m just going to go out there and give it my all. Hopefully he sees if I’m keeping the ball down and I’m at 80 pitches, let me go 90 to 100, or whatever it may be. If the team needs it, then I’ll be out there doing it. If I’m leaving the ball up and stuff like that, I’m sure Terry [Collins] has been around this game long enough to know when a guy is struggling and when he’s not.”
Meanwhile, Chris Young says he will be ready to make his start on Sunday.

The Mets announced today that right-hander Chris Young will miss his next start on Friday and pitch on Sunday instead because of biceps tendinitis.
With a doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow, the Mets may now turn to designated spot starter D.J. Carrasco for Friday’s starting assignment.
Dillon Gee was assumed to be the starter for Sunday’s game, obviously now that is not the case.
