As expected, Mets reliever Buddy Carlyle landed on the DL after experiencing lower back and hamstring issues following Monday’s game when he last pitched.
Replacing him will be lefty Jack Leathersich who was brought back from Triple-A Las Vegas. Leathersich will be available beginning in Thursday’s game.
Leathersich appeared in two games for the Mets back towards the end of April.
Carlyle’s back issues started on Monday’s game when he felt back spasms which intensified after covering first base for an out.
