Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reports that Carlos Beltrán played a key role in creating the sign-stealing system the Houston Astros used in 2017.
In addition to Beltrán, Astros manager A.J. Hinch and then-bench coach Alex Cora played a major role in the sign-stealing process.
Beltrán, 42, finished out his final season with the Houston Astros in 2017 in what ended up being the first World Series title of his career.
