According to Mike Francesa of WFAN, the following changes will be made to Citi Field in time for the 2012 season:
- The fences in the outfield will be 8 feet tall from left field to right field.
- The foul poles will remain exactly where they are.
- The wall in left-center and center will be brought in with dead center around 390 feet.
- The Mo Zone will also be brought in.
Francesa, who is broadcasting from Citi Field, also says that he has heard that the Mets payroll will be between $80 to $110 million next season.
“The more Mets people I talk to the more I hear the payroll will be less than $100 million.”
There you go…
Funny observation – Francesa is on YES Network and they blacked out everything that had Mets logos and it looks like he’s in a black room. Even the Pepsi logo on his drink cup has been blacked out.
