The Mets will introduce Buck Showalter as the team’s manager today at 1:00 p.m. Mets president Sandy Alderson and general manager Billy Eppler will be available as well.

Showalter signed a three-year deal with the Mets that was made official on Monday. With 20 years in the dugout, Showalter brings experience unmatched by any candidate on the Mets list.

“Buck has been one of the best baseball minds for the last two decades and he makes teams better,” said owner Steve Cohen. “We have a lot of talent on this team and Buck is the right manager to take us to the next level and lead us to sustained success. I am excited he is our new manager.”
