The Milwaukee Brewers have shown interest in acquiring New York Mets closer Addison Reed according to Marc Carig of Newsday.

Multiple reports say Reed has garnered strong interest on the trade market as several playoff hopeful teams look to improve the back-end of their bullpen.

Reed, 28, has been good again for the Mets in 2017 with a 2.35 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 46 innings. He’s been the Mets closer for a large portion of the season and has 16 saves.

The relief market has already seen a couple of pitchers change teams with the New York Yankees getting David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle and the Seattle Mariners acquiring David Phelps.

The Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers are also reportedly looking to acquire a reliever that can pitch late in the game.
