Baty hit his first home run of the AFL. It was a go-ahead two-run shot that put the Rafters up 5-4.
Senger and Reyes also started, going a combined 0-for-8. Defensively, Reyes made a fielding error and Baty made a throwing error.
- RHP Connor Grey: 3 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
- RHP Garrison Bryant: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K
- RHP Brian Metoyer: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
- RHP Colin Holderman: 0.2 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
Grey and Holderman struggled while Bryant and Metoyer combined for three scoreless innings in middle relief.
Holderman tried to get a three out save in the bottom of the ninth with Salt River leading 7-4. He got the first two outs before he gave up any runs, but he gave up a game-tying three run single to Yankees prospect Austin Wells.
He was then removed from from the game, but Salt River’s next reliver allowed Holderman’s runner to score the winning run.
