Kiley McDaniel of FanGraphs is reporting that the Toronto Blue Jays have a deal in place with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for $3.2 million dollars according to International sources. Apparently they had a verbal deal that will kick in on July 2.

Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports that teenager Vladimir Guerrero Jr. won’t be able to sign until July 2, but sources told him the Angels, Mets and Blue Jays have already shown serious interest.

The son of baseball great Vladimir Guerrero worked out for a few teams back in September, and scouts from the Yankees, Blue Jays and Angels came away very impressed.

“He is considered one of the top prospects for the international class of 2015,” reporter Jesse Sanchez said last summer. “Scouts love the teenager’s power and natural ability, and his swing is reminiscent of his father’s.”

Guerrero Jr. is a big kid and at age 15 already stands 6’2, 220 pounds.

Some scouts have said that he’s flashing even more potential than his father did at a similar age and that he could be MLB ready before his 20th birthday.
