Mets shortstop prospect Andres Gimenez is having a great showing in the Arizona Fall League with his bat and glove, that continued on Wednesday night with another multi-hit game.

Gimenez, 21, went 2-for-5 as the Scottsdale Scorpions leadoff man, it was the fifth time in six games he’s had multiple hits. His .358 average ranks third in the AFL and his .970 OPS ranks third as well. In 17 games, Gimenez is slashing .358/.403/.567 with four doubles, two triples, two home runs, two stolen bases, and 15 RBI.

Mets prospect Ali Sanchez has shown more flexibility recently starting games at first and third base. On Wednesday night, Sanchez went 2-for-3 with a walk as the Scorpions’ first baseman.

Sanchez is now 7-for-18 with two walks and three RBI’s in his last five games.
