The Mets have activated Jose Reyes from the disabled list as expected, and optioned Ruben Tejada to Triple-A Buffalo to make room for Reyes on the roster they.

Surprising…

Additionally, Mike Nickeas is on his way to Citi Field, a sign that catcher Josh Thole will likely be put on paternity leave.

After playing six innings for the Brooklyn Cyclones yesterday, Jose Reyes pronounced himself ready to go and said, “The plan is to play tonight. Everything went good, so I feel happy about it.”

Reyes went 1-for-3 at the plate and had one chance in the field while playing six innings. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Reyes flashed his speed and laced a double off the left-centerfield wall going full throttle to second base before hitting the brakes as he pulled in standing up. “I was able to move around the field without any problems”, Reyes said

Our own Jim Mancari was at Citi Field last night and covered Terry Collins’ post game where he said, “Jose Reyes will be in the lineup tomorrow. ”
