With the Mets set to honor Yankees closer Mariano Rivera before Tuesday’s game at Citi Field with a tribute video before the game and likely a large check for his favorite charity, MMO’s Ed Leyro had already posted the perfect tribute video for Big Mo back in March. – Joe D.

With Mariano Rivera announcing his retirement and making the 2013 season his official farewell tour, major league teams can now begin to prepare their special tributes and gifts for the great Yankee closer as he makes his final rounds through major league stadiums.

As is common for players of his ilk, video tributes will be shown at each ballpark when Rivera makes his last appearance in that city.  Rivera’s last regular season appearance at Citi Field (he will more than likely make his 13th All-Star Game appearance at Citi Field in July) will be on May 28th, the second of two Subway Series games in Flushing.

If the Mets’ brass really want to show their fans that they want them back at the ballpark, offering this video tribute to Rivera would be a good start.

Enjoy the memories, Mets fans!
