The Mets (50-66) hit three home runs in three straight games for the first time this season and the 11th time in their history in a 13-6 victory Thursday that completed a sweep of the Guardians in Cleveland. Marcus Semien, Luis Torrens and Francisco Lindor connected.

“I think the guys had great energy all series,” Andy Green said.

Nolan McLean (8-7) allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings to raise his ERA to 3.51. He struck out eight and walked three. It was the fourth time this year he allowed five earned runs or more in 23 starts.

The bullpen, overhauled after the trade deadline on Monday, allowed one run in 12 innings during the series. Michael Simon has more in a recap here.

The Mets move on to Pittsburgh Friday, where Zac Thornton (2-2, 2.88 ERA) will get the start at 6:40 p.m. ET on WPIX against RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (6-3, 3.15 ERA).
