Ronny Mauricio continues to feast on Triple-A pitching as he crushed two more homers on Saturday. He now has four home runs over his last four games and 18 at-bats. Meanwhile, Jonathan Santucci continues to feast on Double-A hitting as his six-strikeout performance increased his season total to 120; one of the highest figures in all of minor league baseball.

Additionally, Calvin Ziegler continued his long road back from injury, pitching a scoreless inning for High-A Brooklyn. Lastly, Randy Guzman had a massive day for Single-A St Lucie who scored 14 runs in a loss. Guzman drove in six of those runs continuing to emerge as a strong prospect in the team’s system.

Triple-A

Syracuse Mets 8 (50-50), Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 1 (52-46)

Box Score

Mauricio continues to excel at the Triple-A level. He hit his 10th and 11th Triple-A homers of the season on Saturday. He is hitting .301 with a .619 slugging percentage and .956 OPS in Triple-A this season. Over his last four games he is 7-for-18 with four home runs.

Meanwhile, Clifford has a strong game, posting two extra-base hits. Despite having 16 homers and 50 RBIs on the season, his OPS is the lowest it has been since becoming a professional (.669).

Stock, 36 years old, is continuing to work back from injury. He had a 3.21 ERA over 14 innings for High-A Brooklyn on rehab. Through 7 2/3 innings and two starts for Syracuse, he has allowed five hits and two runs but has struck out nine.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies 5 (35-60), Portland Sea Dogs 0 (51-43)

Box Score

Ramos hit his 14th home run of the season which is good for a top-20 mark in the Eastern League. The 25-year-old was signed to a minor-league contract in November of 2025.

Santucci appears to be the next positive development story among young arms in the Mets’ system. He struck out six more across five scoreless innings Saturday. His 120 strikeouts across 90 2/3 innings is second among 242 qualified pitchers in all of minor league baseball at any level.

Stratton, 22, was drafted by the Mets in the 20th-round of the 2025 MLB Draft. He has had a superb first full season of professional baseball. He was promoted from High-A Brooklyn after posting a 2.73 ERA across 29 2/3 innings. He has performed even better for Binghamton, posting a 1.69 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 16 innings. The opposition is hitting a meager .143 against Stratton.

 High-A

Jersey Shore Blueclaws 7 (35-58), Brooklyn Cyclones 3 (38-55)

Box Score

Baylor was signed to a minor-league contract in April of 2026. He previously played independent ball in the Atlantic League slashing .353/.571/.588 (1.160 OPS) across 28 at-bats. He was a former third-round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies back in 2019. The 25-year-old has a .828 OPS across 61 at-bats for Brooklyn.

Ziegler, now 23, was a second-round pick by the Mets in 2021. He is trying to work his way back from a plethora of injuries. He threw a scoreless inning on Saturday, allowing a walk and a hit. This is the third level of baseball Ziegler has played, his first action since 2024. He did not record an out in his first appearance for Brooklyn on July 19, allowing five runs (four earned). Saturday was much better.

Dollar, 22, was an undrafted free agent out of Houston. After being called up from St. Lucie (Single-A), he has performed very well for Brooklyn. After two scoreless innings Saturday, he has a 2.53 ERA and 30 strikeouts across 21 1/3 innings for the Cyclones.

Single-A

Fort Myers Mighty Mussels 15 (51-42), St. Lucie Mets 14 (43-51)

The St. Lucie offense had a massive day, scoring 14 runs across 13 hits propelled by five Fort Myers errors. Leading the way was Guzman who drove in six runs and hit two homers. With the 3-for-4 performance his season OPS is up to .891. The 21-year-old posted a .899 OPS across the Florida Complex League and Single-A levels last season. A very intriguing prospect to say the least.

Vargas is on rehab with St. Lucie and had himself a big day, going 2-for-5 with a home run. It had been a tough season for him at the Double-A level, prior to injury, as he has a .621 OPS across 100 Double-A at-bats.

Lanthier dropped to 0-3 on the season after only lasting 2/3 of an inning allowing seven runs on five hits and three walks. The 12th-round pick out of Kansas in 2024 has struggled mightily across eight starts combined between the Florida Complex League and with St. Lucie in 2026. His professional ERA is 7.80 over 30 career professional innings.

Dominican Summer League

DSL Mets Orange 4 (21-19), DSL Mets Blue 3 (14-25)

Box Score

Each of New York’s Dominican Summer League teams faced off against each other on Saturday. Highly-touted prospect, Asigen, went 1-for-3 with a run. He has a .821 OPS across 41 at-bats into the 16 -year-old’s professional career.

  • RHP Abner Meza: 3.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R (1 ER), 4 BB, 3 SO (1.85 ERA)
  • RHP Anderson Ozuna: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO (2.57 ERA)

Each team’s starter put forth a strong effort. Meza, who threw 3 2/3 innings and allowed just one earned run, struggled with walks (four), but still has a starling 1.85 ERA across 34 innings this season. He is 19 years old.
