Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets received a scare during the Mets’ first game back from the All-Star break, when Juan Soto exited the game in the eighth inning with left calf soreness.
Fortunately, it does not appear to be a serious injury. According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the soreness is not in the same calf Soto strained earlier this season, and the Mets do not expect him to miss time. After the game, Laura Albanese of Newsday reported that Soto said he is “fine.”
