Major League Baseball revealed the 2027 schedule for all 30 teams on Thursday afternoon. The Mets will begin their season on March 25 in Miami as part of a six-game road trip against the Marlins and Nationals. This will be the earliest Opening Day in MLB history. New York’s home opener will take place on Friday, April 2, against the Giants.
Other notable series on the schedule include Brandon Nimmo’s first series in Flushing as a visitor, when the Rangers come to Citi Field from April 23-25. The Mets will host the Rays over Mother’s Day weekend (May 7-9) before the Phillies arrive for a three-game series to cap the home stand. Philadelphia will return to Queens for a four-game series starting on July 22. The Braves will open a three-game series in Flushing on Memorial Day (May 24) and will return from August 9-11. The Nationals will visit Queens over Father’s Day weekend (June 18-20) and from August 6-8, while the Marlins will be in town from June 3-6 and July 6-8.
The Subway Series will take place at Citi Field from May 28-30 and at Yankee Stadium from July 16-18 – the first series of the second half. The Mets will then continue from the Bronx to Boston to take on the Red Sox in a three-game series at Fenway Park. Seven of the Mets’ final 10 games of the first half will be against the Dodgers, as the teams will square off for a four-game set at Chavez Ravine from July 1-4 and a three-game series at Citi Field from July 9-11. As was the case this season, the Mets will be done with the West Coast portion of their schedule before the All-Star break, as their series in Los Angeles will be their final game in the Pacific time zone.
On Labor Day, the Mets will welcome the Mariners to Queens for a three-game set, followed by three games with the Guardians. New York will round out its season with a six-game home stand against the Pirates (September 21-23) and Cubs (24-26). Six of the Mets’ final nine games will be against the Cubs.
