Good morning Mets fans! MLB draft weekend is here.
With their first-round pick at No. 27, the Mets selected Carson Wiggins, a right-handed pitcher from the University of Arkansas. With their third-round pick they went on to select an outfielder, Aiden Robbins, at No. 92 from the University of Texas. In the fourth round they selected left-handed pitcher Shane Sdao.

According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the Mets are set to recall rookie pitcher Zach Thornton to make his third appearance against the Boston Red Sox.
DiComo also noted that Marcus Semien is just about ready to begin a rehab assignment as he makes his way back after straining his left hip flexor, but may wait until after the All-Star break.
Per DiComo as well, the Mets released right-handed relief pitcher Alex Carrillo and outrighted Matt Seelinger to Triple-A Syracuse.
Pat Ragazzo of Athlon Sports, a former Metsmerized writer, announced that he is now the new Mets correspondent for Baseball America and will be providing periodic reports of Mets minor league prospects, player development and their farm system.
Mets Player Development announced on Saturday that Daviel Hurtado has been named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month for June.

- Tristan Peters to the AL All-Star team in replacement of Nick Kurtz on the roster.
- Justin Wrobleski to the NL All-Star Team in replacement of Chase Burns.
- Foster Griffin to the NL All-Star Team in replacement of Braxton Ashcraft.
Per Cole Weintraubb of NBC Philly, MLB reached out to Zack Wheeler to join the National League All-Star team, however he declined the invitation. Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic confirmed, adding that Wheeler felt disrespected.
