In other Mets news, Luis Robert Jr. started his rehab assignment last week with Triple-A Syracuse. He played in three games, going 1-for-10. On Tuesday, the Mets announced Robert’s rehab had been moved to Double-A Binghamton, but he didn’t play as originally planned. Manager Andy Green said Robert only did a workout and will “hopefully” play on Wednesday.

On a positive note, A.J. Ewing became the first Met younger than 22 years old with four hits, one home run and a walk in a game. He’s the first big leaguer to accomplish the feat since Julio Rodriguez in 2022.
