The hits keep on coming.

Juan Soto has left Tuesday’s game against the Cubs after the fourth inning with back tightness. He was replaced by Mark Vientos in the lineup, and Jared Young moved from first to left field.

Soto was replaced after two at-bats. He was seen previously in the dugout with a brace/heating pad on his lower back.

He was removed from the game with the team down 7-2 after Kodai Senga allowed seven runs in 3.2 innings. The Mets seemed to just be getting healthy, with Francisco Lindor, Christian Scott, Ronny Mauricio, and Tyrone Taylor all expected back within a week.

More to come as the Mets share an update.
