Keith Hernandez will continue to provide color commentary for Mets games alongside Gary Cohen and Ron Darling. The best booth in baseball stays together per Anthony Rieber of Newsday Sports. Keith told Laura Albanese of Newsday that he will likely call around 90 games this season.

Keith Hernandez spent seven seasons with the Mets, slashing .297/.387/.429/.816 with 80 HRs and 468 RBIs, and was instrumental in the Mets’ 1986 World Series season. Following that season, Keith was named the first Team Captain in team history, an honor he would share with Gary Carter a year later.

After a brief acting career, which included Seinfeld and Law & Order, Keith began his broadcasting career with MSG Networks in 1999 and joined the Mets broadcast booth at SNY in 2006. Gary, Keith, and Ron continue as the longest-running booth in Mets history and will be in Florida to call spring training games later this month.

No one describes what Keith brings to the booth better than Ron Darling did on The Score Chicago when he said, “Keith lightens it up, surely. No one entertains better than Keith Hernandez.”
