We are two days out from MLB’s trade deadline, and the Mets are expected to be major players trying to improve their roster to make a deep playoff run in October.
According to Andy Martino of SNY, the Mets are discussing Mark Vientos in trade talks with other teams. Will Sammon and Tim Britton of The Athletic noted the Mets would only trade Vientos for a “rental only if it was a significant player coming back.”
Coming off a breakout playoff performance last season, Vientos has struggled this season, lacking the power that propelled him to a 27-homer season in 2024.
