On a recent episode of Foul Territory, former Met Luis Severino spoke about how careful the Mets are with player health, saying: “The trainers with the Yankees were unbelievable, but the Mets were next level.”
Severino praised his former team’s training staff after having his first healthy year since 2018.

The Mets tied the Cardinals 3-3 in their spring training game Friday. Juan Soto homered and had two RBIs while Kodai Senga struggled on the mound.

Per Newsday’s Tim Healey, there’s a chance Juan Soto plays in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The only thing holding Soto back: “I need permission from the boss,” as in Steve Cohen.
The Mets signed infielder Trace Willhoite to a minor league contract. Willhoite, who led the MLB Draft League in home runs, had a career 1.010 OPS in three years at Lipscomb University and a .986 OPS in 40 MLB Draft League games.
Dwight Gooden will lead the Irish American Baseball Society in this year’s New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
