Names to Watch
Pass rushers Travon Walker (University of Georgia) and Aidan Hutchinson (University of Michigan) lead the way as the likely first names off the board. While other defensive players such as Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner (CB, University of Cincinnati), Kayvon Thibodeaux (EDGE, University of Oregon), and Derek Stingley Jr.(CB, Louisiana State University) project to also be top-10 sections. Offensive tackles such as Ikem Ekwonu (North Carolina State University), Charles Cross (Mississippi State University), and Evan Neal (The University of Alabama) should also find themselves selected relatively early.
As for the most important position in football, quarterback, the class is not as strong with top-tier talent as usual. Liberty University’s Malik Willis leads the way and will most likely be the first signal caller selected. Kenny Pickett (University of Pittsburgh), Sam Howell (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), and Matt Corral (University of Mississippi) are also names to monitor. It appears likely only two or three quarterbacks will be selected in the first round with Willis and Pickett leading the way.
