Good morning Mets fans!
Today is a very important day in the lockout. The owners are supposedly going to be making a significant proposal to the MLBPA. Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported that the owners will be making an offer to the MLBPA once their owner meetings end, which was Friday.
Heyman also reported that this deal will involve some major economic issues, and that the owners have made some serious concessions in that area. The hope from the owners is that this will lead to concessions on behalf of the players as well.
There is speculation in the industry that this deal is going to bring the two sides closer to a deal, and could even set them up nicely to agree to a deal in time to start the season on March 31.

1992: Keith Hernandez guest-stars on Seinfeld. One of the most, if not the most, iconic episodes in the shows history featured the Mets first baseman as himself. He started as Jerry’s friend, who then became Elaine’s boyfriend. The show got a lot of views and became a major memory of the show and Hernandez.
2016: Jenrry Mejia was banned permanently from Major League Baseball for testing positive for steroids for a third time.
