The Mets were being shutout until Lee launched a two-run home in the eighth inning. Martinez played in his third rehab game for Syracuse and should be ready to join the major league roster soon.

Peroza now has four home runs in his last five games for Brooklyn and 11 overall on the season. Mauricio continues to show improved power in 2021, but has also struggled to get on base on a consistent basis. Center field Jaylen Palmer was on base twice and scored two runs.

Center fielder Stanley Consuegra chipped in with a double and three RBIs, his OPS for the season is now 1.081. Second baseman Wyatt Young reached base three times out of the leadoff spot and has a .987 OPS in 11 games since being drafted by the Mets in 2021.
