Original post:

Mets left fielder Jeff McNeil made a fantastic catch to save two runs in the top of the first inning on Thursday afternoon against the Nationals. Unfortunately, for the Mets he hit the wall hard and was shaken up on the play.

The MLB Network broadcast of the game noted that the x-ray on McNeil’s knee were negative and he will now go for an MRI.

McNeil tried to walk back to the dugout with help from the trainer, but the Mets called the cart to take him off the field.

Billy Hamilton replaced McNeil in the lineup.
