Good Morning Mets fans! We received promising news yesterday as Senior Major League Baseball officials told Fox Business they are almost near certain there will be baseball played in 2020 despite the details still being discussed, per Charles Gasparino of Fox Business.

Gasparino went on to report that the league is keeping a close eye on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s plan to re-open the city to time it up with home games for the Mets and Yankees.

League officials are mulling the possibility of a three-division league organized by region/coast to cut down travel. For the Mets, their opponents would potentially include the Yankees, Rays, Red Sox, Nationals, Phillies, Pirates, Orioles, Blue Jays, and Marlins.

While there were rumors swirling that the minor league season was on the verge of being canceled, Jeff Passan of ESPN came to the rescue to shoot down those reports as untrue.

Wednesday was an active day for news in the baseball world so let’s check out what else went on surrounding the Mets and the rest of Major League Baseball as we hopefully inch closer to the start of the season.
