Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports that Mets quality control coach Luis Rojas will receive a second interview for the Mets managerial opening.

The 38-year-old joins the already reported group of Eduardo Perez, Joe Girardi, Carlos Beltran, and Tim Bogar of candidates to get a second interview.

It’s been widely reported that the Mets are not seeking to rush the hiring process, though they could hire a candidate towards the end of the month.

Derek Shelton, Skip Schumaker, and Mike Bell were interviewed during the first batch but no word yet if any of them will receive a second interview.

It was reported on Monday, that Girardi is currently the favorite to land the Phillies managerial opening.
