Mickey Callaway told reporters before the game that Noah Syndergaard feels “great” after throwing his bullpen session today and will start on Friday against the Washington Nationals as planned.
The Mets will need to send someone down to make room on the roster for the right-hander.

If all goes smoothly in his bullpen session Wednesday, Mets’ right-hander Noah Syndergaard will start Friday versus the Washington Nationals.
Syndergaard, 25, rehabbed Sunday in Brooklyn and allowed one run while striking out seven over five innings.
Talking to the media after the game, Syndergaard told reporters that his finger felt fine and he didn’t experience any discomfort in his finger.
The Texas native has been sidelined since the end of May due to what was diagnosed as a strained right ligament in his index finger.
On the campaign, he has appeared in 11 games, logging a 4-1 record with a 3.06 ERA, 2.57 FIP and 10.6 K/9.
